New football coach at Sage Hill
Sage Hill School announced Tuesday afternoon that it has hired a new football coach, Derek McIntyre, formerly of Justin-Siena High in Napa, where he was an athletic director for two years.
Pete Anderson, who led the Lightning to an 8-3 record last season, his first as head coach, has decided to step down, school officials said.
The Lightning lost, 62-32, to Linfield Christian in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Northeast Division playoffs.
Anderson is expected to continue stay at Sage Hill as a math teacher and advisor.
McIntyre is expected to meet with players next week and will be on the field June 17th, the first day of summer football.
