B.B. King, Pat Benatar to play at fair concert series
Performances by B. B. King, the blues journeyman whose work influenced the Rolling Stones and countless other bands, and Pat Benatar, one of the 1980s’ biggest-selling pop stars, have been added to the concert lineup this summer at the OC Fair.
King, who will perform with opening acts Leon Russell and Mavis Staples, will begin the series at the Pacific Amphitheatre at 7:30 p.m. July 11. Benatar, joined by guitarist Neil Giraldo with opening acts Berlin and Patti Smyth and Scandal, will perform at the same time Aug. 1.
