Native wildflowers featured in Fairview Park hike
Celebrating the beginning of spring, a local plant expert will guide a hike through Fairview Park on April 5.
The 90-minute outing, hosted by the Fairview Park Friends Committee, will highlight native wildflowers and vegetation throughout the park. Sarah Jayne of the Orange County Native Plants Assn. will lead the walk, which starts at the picnic shelters next to the parking lot.
The hike begins at 9 a.m. and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
Fairview Park is located at 2525 Placentia Ave., next to Estancia High School.
