OC Roller Girls to host rockabilly-themed derby

Roller Derby teams from around Southern California will put their skating skills and bravado to the test today at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

The OC Roller Girls will host the rockabilly-themed Get Lucky Roller Derby, which features bouts against their three closest rivals.

Teams from the Inland Empire Derby Diva, the LA Derby Doll and the Angel City Derby Girl leagues will skate in exhibition bouts against three OC Roller Girls teams.

The Huntington Heartbreakers face Inland Empire’s Bloody Mary’s at 4 p.m.

The Psycho Ex-girlfriends will take on Angel City’s Block Steady Crew at 6 p.m.

The Back Bay Bombshells skate against the Tough Cookies of the LA Derby Dolls at 8 p.m.

There will be live rockabilly bands, a beer garden and concessions provided by the fairgrounds.

Ticket stubs will allow guests into the official after-party at the Juke Joint, 735 N. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim.

Tickets are $25 at the door.
