Miss Huntington Beach Crowned

Cayce Crowder, 17, won the tiara and the sash of Surf City for 2008.

She was selected Miss Huntington Beach from a field of 11 contestants at the annual beauty pageant Saturday.

Crowder, a Huntington Beach High School and Academy of Performing Arts student, sang “The Wizard and I” from “Wicked” for her talent.

As a musical theater student, it’s not surprising Crowder chose school art programs as her platform.

She will represent Huntington at a number of events throughout the year including four parades.

The runners-up make up the Queen’s Court.

First runner-up was Arroya Karian, second was Lauren Guitrau, third was Samantha Gallo, and fourth was Amber Palm.
