Four restaurants along East Coast Highway burglarized
Newport Beach police are asking for the public’s help in solving a string of commercial burglaries.
Four Corona del Mar restaurants have been broken into late at night or in the early morning hours since January, police said. In three of the break-ins, one or more burglars pried open a locked door, and in one, they came in through a window.
The Place restaurant, in the 2900 block of East Coast Highway and Gen Kai Restaurant in the 3300 block of East Coast Highway, were broken into in January. The Quiet Woman restaurant in the 3200 block of East Coast Highway and the Bungalow Restaurant in the 2400 block of East Coast Highway were broken into in February.
For a free business security inspection, call Crime Prevention Specialist Andi Querry at (949) 644-3699. If anyone has information regarding the break-ins, call (800) 550-NBPD. Callers can remain anonymous.
