Police asking for help to find gas station robbers
Investigators are asking for the public’s help apprehending an armed robber who made off with a “relatively small amount” of money during a heist at a Chevron gas station in the 3100 block of Harbor Boulevard.
An armed man entered the store about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, and threatened the clerk with a small handgun as he demanded money, Lt. Clay Epperson said.
The suspect ran toward a motel on Gisler Street. Police described him as a white man, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He had a star tattoo near his right eye.
Witnesses are encouraged to call the Costa Mesa Police Department at (714) 754-5033.
