WaPo editor to talk about obstacles in reporting Islam
Philip Bennett, managing editor of the Washington Post, will talk about the difficulties involved in reporting on Islam as part of the UCI Chancellor’s Distinguished Fellows Series.
Bennett served as the Post’s foreign editor during wars in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq. He will give his speech, “Covering Islam: A challenge for American Journalism” at 2 p.m. Monday at the UCI Student Center in Pacific Ballroom D.
The event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available at Campus Drive and West Peltason Drive for $7.
