PET OF THE WEEK
WONDER
Five-month-old tabby kitten Wonder’s eyelid reconstructive eyelid surgery was successful, and the lashes that were causing the irritation and rubbed on his cornea have been removed, according to the Community Animal Network. Doctors said his vision is fine and he is ready for a permanent home, the network’s founder said.
“We thank all of you that donated to help Wonder,†founder DiAnna Pfaff-Martin said. “Without your gifts many lifesaving surgeries would not be made possible.â€
Wonder and 4-year-old Lab and Shepherd mix dogs, Bear and Roxy, will be available for adoption at Fashion Island along with other animals from noon to 4 p.m. For more information see A1. The adoptions are sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience.
New arrivals of winter kittens are now available for pre-adoption. The three tabbies and a sleek black kitten are named after The Beatles: John, Paul, George and Ringo.
