UCI water polo players MPSF academic picks

UC Irvine men’s water polo players Kyle Baxter, Andrew Dunn, Greg Enloe, Jamie Frank, Matt Garcia and Tim Hutten have been named to the 2007 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Academic all-conference team.

Hutten, a senior, scored 75 goals en route to first-team All-America honors. The MPSF Player of the Year led the nation with a scoring average of 3.75 goals per game.

Garcia, a senior goalkeeper, made 214 saves in 25 starts and received honorable mention in the All-MPSF voting.

Frank, a sophomore, notched 13 goals. Baxter, a sophomore, scored six goals this season, as did Dunn, a senior. Enloe, a sophomore, had five goals.

Honorees must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average, be at least a sophomore academically and have competed in at least 50% of the sport’s contests.
