Hamm highlights many events at free soccer expo

The 2008 Soccer Nation Expo, presented by Cal South, is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Soccer Nation Expo is a free soccer festival, an event that provides interactive fun for all families, soccer fans and soccer players and coaches of all levels, youth and adult. Soccer Nation Expo includes over 125 exhibitors, including representation from professional clubs Chivas USA, L.A. Galaxy, Club America, Manchester United, AC Milan and Everton FC.

Former U.S. women’s national team player Mia Hamm, one of the greatest women’s soccer players ever and all-time leading international goal scorer, will be a guest speaker and instructor at Soccer Nation Expo today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Chivas USA head coach Preki will give a free clinic at 1 p.m. Sunday. Select players from the Galaxy and Chivas USA (Jonathan Bornstein, Maykel Galindo and Jesse Marsch among them) will be on hand both days of the Soccer Nation Expo to sign autographs.
