COSTA MESA — Junior Troy McClanahan led the Eagles with 12 points in the fifth-place game at the Estancia Coast Classic Saturday at Estancia High.

McClanahan earned all-tournament honors.

Junior Ryan Knapp made two three-pointers and finished with eight points for Estancia (6-9).

FULLERTON — Corona del Mar High senior Scott Lineback placed seventh in the 189-pound class, compiling a 5-2 record Friday and Saturday at Cal State Fullerton.

Lineback, who lost one match in overtime and lost another, 9-6, to the eventual champion from Northern California, is now 22-3 this season.

COSTA MESA — Sophomore Katey Thompson led the Sailors with 16 points in a consolation game of the Costa Mesa Winter Classic Saturday.

Junior Corinne Schnieders added 12 points, while senior Kelly Thompson and sophomore Maiquel McLeish had seven rebounds apiece for the Sailors (5-10).

Newport Harbor opens Sunset League play Thursday at home against Esperanza.
