VENTURA — Sophomore Courtney Ford led the winners with 21 points in the opener of the two-day Ventura Crossover at Ventura College.

The win was the 13th straight for the Pirates (16-1), who share the top ranking in the state and Southern California with Mt. San Antonio College.

OCC plays Ventura tonight at 7.

Los Angeles Southwest improved to 12-7.

OCC dropped its tournament opener, 77-37, to Monterey Peninsula on Thursday.
