Police seeking information in pharmacy robbery
Newport Beach police have released a photo of a robbery suspect who allegedly stole medication from a CVS pharmacy on Irvine Avenue.
Police are asking for information concerning the robbery and the suspect. Investigators described him as a white man, 5-foot-10, about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a button-down shirt.
At about 2:45 a.m. Sunday the robber showed a note to a pharmacist that claimed he had a gun and asked for prescription medication, according to police. The pharmacist gave him the drug Norco, and he ran out, police said.
