Donate formal dresses and accessories of all sizes
Two nonprofit groups have joined forces to give 100 area young women a prom night to remember.
Women Helping Women and Girls Inc. are collecting donations of formal and bridesmaid dresses, jewelry, evening purses, dress shoes, gift certificates and monetary contributions for local teens. The young women will shop for their free dream dresses March 8.
Dresses of all shapes and sizes are needed. Program organizers request that all dresses be dry cleaned and in good condition. In Costa Mesa, dresses may be dropped off at Women Helping Women, 711 W. 17th St., Suite A-10. Checks may be made out to Girls Incorporated of Orange County and all donations are tax deductible. The deadline for making donations is Feb. 1. For more information, call (949) 631-2333.
