Luxury car dealership in Newport plans to expand

Fletcher Jones Motorcars, a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Newport Beach, announced plans this week to open up to five new dealerships in the next three years.

The first new dealership, scheduled to open in Temecula in summer 2009, would occupy an 8-acre site and feature a complimentary car wash. Garth Blumenthal, general manager of Fletcher Jones Motorcars in Newport, would run it with Fletcher “Ted” Jones Jr., son of the company’s founder.

Also planned are a boutique dealership in Temecula that would offer Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other luxury cars, as well as Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Ontario, Calif., Henderson, Nev., and Maui, Hawaii.
