Rain makes small splash
Rain fell Tuesday night and continued to drizzle into Wednesday in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, but forecasts call for partly cloudy weather with a small chance of rain this evening before clearing up for the weekend.
Roads remained wet Wednesday, but no major collisions were reported in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.
There is a 20% chance of rain tonight, according to the National Weather Service, but warning reports for the area were no longer listed.
Orange County Health Care Agency suggests people should avoid coastal waters during heavy rain due to storm drain and urban runoff into the ocean, which raise bacterial levels.
