Man suing Costa Mesa says police backed into his car

A claim has been filed against the city of Costa Mesa for auto damages a man alleges he endured when a police car backed into him, city records show.

Roger Lehman filed the claim on Dec. 12. The city did not make the claim available for review by time of publication.

“I don’t think I’ve seen that claim, so I can’t comment on it right now,” City Atty. Kimberly Hall Barlow said.

Attempts to contact Lehman or his claims agent were not successful.
