Kids can learn, explore at Newport nature center
Just because school is winding down for Christmas break doesn’t mean kids have to hibernate in the house through the winter.
The Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach is offering plenty of chances for kids’ minds to stay fresh.
Winter programs start Monday at the center with Magnificent Mammals, a playtime for youngsters 2 to 5. Kids and their parents can join nature center experts in a walk through the facility, where they will learn about mammals.
The program costs $5 per child, and space is limited. For more information on the center’s winter programs and to make reservations call (949) 645-8489.
