High school announces dance performances
Laguna Beach High School will hold its winter dance show, “On the Precipice,” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8.
Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $12 for adult general admission and $8 for students.

Fundraiser benefits school fashion program
Local high school students have joined Songoli Boutique, 670 S. Coast Hwy., to hold a fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Funds raised will benefit class projects and scholarships in the Regional Occupational Program Careers in Fashion, an after-school course that teaches high school students the fundamentals of a career in fashion.
The event will include food, beverages, a fashion show, raffle drawings and fashion advice from the students; 15% of each item purchased will benefit the program.

German visiting teacher joins Anneliese’s
This year, students at Anneliese’s Schools have a special language ambassador to enrich their study of foreign languages “” Tina Willers.
Willers is an international teaching assistant from Germany. As part of the Amity Intern Program, she is working to expose students to the beauty and diversity of the world’s many languages and cultures.
In addition to working with the students, she lives with a local host family, takes personal study classes and shares her culture within the community. Willers will spend the whole school year living and working in this area, then return to Germany in the summer.
This is the first year that Anneliese’s Schools has hosted an Amity Intern. Amity Institute is a nonprofit organization based in San Diego that brings international educators to the U.S. to share knowledge and culture.
