HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP:

CHINO — Three members of the Newport Harbor High girls’ golf team will advance to the final round after a successful opening round at the Sunset League preliminaries on Tuesday at El Prado Golf Course.

Lauren Draganza shot a one-over par 37 and is only one shot off of the lead.

Morgan Moody shot a 40 and Tiffany Kim posted a 43, both of them moving on to the next round for the Sailors, who finished second as a team in the Sunset League.

Edison won the title after defeating the Sailors by five strokes last week.

Newport Harbor Coach Scott Tarnow was excited to have three of his golfers move on.

The action resumes today again at El Prado Golf Course.
