California school recruiters to visit OCC
Orange Coast College will play host to representatives from more than 80 public and private colleges and universities from across the country Thursday for the school’s “Transfer Day.”
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in OCC’s quad, representatives from every University of California campus and many California State Universities, including Pomona, Dominguez Hills, Fullerton, Long Beach, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco, will talk to OCC students about transferring from the two-year college. There will also be recruiters from independent California colleges and out-of-state schools.
Private schools include the Art Center College of Design, Azusa Pacific University, Chapman University, Columbia University, Platt College, USC, University of the West and Vanguard University.
OCC ranks third out of the state’s 109 community colleges in combined number of students transferred to UC and CSU schools.
For more information about the day’s activities, contact OCC’s Transfer Center at (714) 432-5894.
