Three arrested on drug charges
Heidi Richter, 40, of Laguna Beach, was arrested, along with two men from outside the city, after police responded to a disturbance reported at a home in the 2000 block of Juanita Way at 12:26 p.m. on June 22, Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Jason Kravetz said.
Richter and James Edward Dalton, 22, were both arrested on suspicion of heroin possession.
Mathew Wade Harrison, 39, of Costa Mesa, was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.
The three were booked at Laguna Beach city jail and taken to Orange County jail.
Bus boy altercation leads to arrest
A jealous bus boy slashed at his rival with a knife at a hotel in the 300 block of So. Coast Highway on June 23, Kravetz said.
Saed Muaafa Almohseni, of Laguna Beach, was apparently upset that another bus boy was permitted to serve food to diners, while he was consigned to cleanup duties, Kravetz said.
Almohseni and the victim quarreled in the hotel, and the fight ended up in the kitchen, where Almohseni allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and grazed the thigh of the victim.
Almohseni was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Teen arrested in clothing thefts
A 16-year-old Parker, Colorado boy was arrested Friday after trying to return stolen merchandise for cash at a sporting goods store in the 200 block of Forest Avenue, Kravetz said.
While police were investigating the incident, they searched the boy’s backpack and found allegedly stolen T-shirts from a shirt shop in the 300 block of So. Coast Highway, Kravetz said.
The youth, whose name was withheld due to his age, was released to his mother.
