SHORT TAKES:Campbell district director honored by chamber

Chris Palmer, the deputy district director for Rep. John Campbell, has won the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Volunteer of the Year Award. The chamber’s Government Affairs Council presented Palmer with the award at its annual volunteer appreciation luncheon Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.

“Chris Palmer is a vital part of my congressional staff and an outstanding leader in our community,” Campbell said in a release. “Chris’ hard work and volunteerism make him a valuable asset to all of Newport Beach. I congratulate the Newport Beach Chamber, Chris Palmer, and all of this year’s honorees for helping to expand economic opportunities for the residents of our area.”
