LAGUNA BEACH — Chad Peterson hit a one-out, two-run double in the top of the seventh inning to help lead the Mustangs to the Orange Coast League win Friday.
Mike Molina, who doubled to lead off the sixth, and Gabe Sanchez, who walked, scored on Peterson’s double. Peterson then retired the side in order in the bottom of the frame. Matt Pisarski was two for four with two RBIs for Mesa (14-8, 5-3 in league), which is in second in the OCL.

Calvary Chapel 6, Estancia 5
COSTA MESA — Trevor McDonald went three for four for Estancia in a tough Orange Coast League loss Friday at Orange Coast College.
Ryan Redding, Tim Morley and Riley Hart each had two hits and combined for four RBIs for Estancia (8-15, 2-6 in league), which lost its second one-run decision to Calvary of the league season.
Calvary Chapel, which is in first in league, improved to 16-5, 7-1. Estancia plays at Laguna Beach on Tuesday.

Alex Rios was one for three with one RBI for Newport (5-16, 1-9 in league). The Sailors’ Ron D’Cruz played despite taking a foul ball to the face in the top of the first while in the dugout.

COSTA MESA — Taylor West was two for three with two runs and a triple in the Eagles’ mercy-rule Orange Coast League win Friday at Estancia.
Abby Koff was two for two with a pair of RBIs for Estancia (13-7, 4-0 in league), Taylor Brown was two for four with two RBIs and Kiele Brown added a double.
Josie Flores threw five innings of shutout ball for the Eagles, who play host to cross-town rival Costa Mesa on Monday at 3:15 p.m.

CORONA DEL MAR — Jeff Carlson had 12 kills, 12 digs and three aces Friday to help lead the Sea Kings to the 25-20, 25-13, 25-10 Pacific Coast League victory, which clinched their fourth straight league title.
Dylan Davis had 12 kills, Spencer Brown 12 digs and Phil Bannan 41 assists for CdM (26-2, 7-0 in league), which played its second match without standout Blaine Nielsen, who suffered a foot injury at the Santa Barbara Tournament of the Champions last week.
Calvary Chapel def. Estancia
SANTA ANA — Adriel Robles had a team-high six digs for Estancia in a 25-6, 25-16, 25-15 Orange Coast League loss at Calvary Chapel on Friday.
Bradley Reitler had two kills and Kohl Jones added a block for Estancia (3-15, 0-7 in league), which plays at Laguna Beach on Monday.

CORONA DEL MAR — The Lightning’s Andrew Dorne won the 500-yard freestyle at 5 minutes, 12.16 seconds, a CIF Southern Section Division IV automatic qualifying time, in the final Academy League meet of the regular season on Thursday.
Nick Wan recorded CIF automatic qualifying marks in the 200 freestyle (1:54.6) and 100 backstroke (58.22) for the Lightning (2-0-1 in league).
In the girls’ league competition, Dylan Conroy was Sage Hill’s lone double winner, taking the 100 (1:02.4) and 200 freestyle (2:16.16) events.
