GARDENS IN BLOOM
Guests visiting the gardens at the UC Irvine Arboretum for its Winter Bulb Festival will be treated to late-winter blooms of gladiolus and daffodils and early-spring blooms in the South African bulb garden. Admission is $2 for adults; children 12 and under are free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. FUNDRAISING GALA
Mary’s Shelter, a home for pregnant girls 12 to 18 in Santa Ana, will hold its annual fundraising gala, Emerald Enchantment, at 6 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel, 4545 MacArthur Blvd., Newport Beach. The gala includes dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment by Irish band Gypsy’s Gold and dancers from Celtic Gold. Tickets are $135.
