The following is from the daily log of the Laguna Beach Police Department from Wednesday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Dec. 26, presented in reverse order of occurrence.
TUESDAY
Coast View Drive: At 3:04 p.m., a baby tohee bird that couldn’t fly was taken into custody in the 800 block.
St. Ann’s Drive: At 8:38 a.m., a rock was reported to have been thrown through a vehicle window at about 1 a.m. that morning in the 300 block.
Thalia Street: At 2:12 a.m., a Huntington Beach resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 200 block.
Glenneyre Street: At 3:30 a.m., an Arizona man was arrested on suspicion of stealing a case of beer from a convenience store in the 800 block.
MONDAY
1000 Steps Beach: At 2:44 p.m., a beached sea lion was reported in the 32000 block.
Coast Highway: At 1:31 p.m., a man was given medical assistance after injuring his knee surfing at Aliso Beach in the 31000 block.
SUNDAY
Forest Avenue: At 8:11 p.m., a trash can fire was reported in the 200 block.
Sleepy Hollow Lane: At 1:36 p.m., a beached sea lion was reported in the 600 block.
Coast Highway: At 11:52 a.m., the back window of a vehicle was reported shattered and possibly shot out in the 31600 block.
Coast Highway: At 7:20 a.m., a man who fell off his motorcycle in a hotel parking garage, injuring his leg, was assisted in the 31600 block.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 2:47 a.m., a vehicle crashed into a utility pole and medical aid was given in the 20600 block.
Coast Highway: At 2:40 a.m., a man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at Crescent Bay Drive.
El Toro Road: At 12:08 a.m., a deer that had been hit by a car was reported blocking the road at Laguna Canyon Rd.
SATURDAY
Coast Highway: At 2:27 p.m., a car was reported to have been hit with eggs in the 31300 block.
Miramar Street: At 2:52 p.m., an Ipod and car starter were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block.
Coast Highway: At 12:29 p.m., a four-vehicle accident requiring medical aid was reported at Eagle Rock Way.
Cleo Street: At 12:37 p.m., a man was reported kicking at cars at Coast Highway.
Ocean Vista Drive: At 9:59 a.m., a petty theft was reported in the 21600 block.
Rimcrest Circle: At 8:05 a.m., a truck was reported to have been hit with eggs the night before in the 3200 block.
Ocean Avenue: At 3:31 a.m., a man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 200 block.
Noria Street: At 1:41 a.m., firefighters responded to a report that a gas fireplace had been left on since the morning in the 1000 block.
Eagle Rock Way: At 12:50 a.m., police responded to a report of a loud party, with a live band and some 50 attendees, in an apartment at Virginia Way.
THURSDAY
Avenida Montalvo: At 4:24 p.m., two Laguna Niguel men were arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale, and a Colt 45 pistol was removed, in the 200 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 7:21 p.m., a Washington, D.C., man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession after he was found unconscious in his vehicle in the 600 block.
Thalia Street: At 7:12 p.m., a Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after allegedly threatening to shoot another man in the 200 block.
Weymouth Place: At 9:50 a.m., a package was reported opened and $400 in special nickels taken in the 300 block.
WEDNESDAY
Laguna Canyon Road: At 9:44 p.m., a Murrieta man was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 2500 block.
Glenneyre Street: At 3:45 a.m., a Studio City man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 800 block.
