Artists’ showcase to close

Saturday will be the closing night of an artists’ showcase, put on by the City of Costa Mesa and Rvca Clothing at which 50 local artists are displaying their work.

The clothing company — pronounced “Ruca” — offered its Rvca Gallery for the event, which started last week. The program is part of the company’s ongoing endeavor to promote local artists. Money from T-shirt sales will go to the artists’ favorite charities.

This showcase is the fourth hosted by Costa Mesa’s Cultural Arts Committee, which is led by 10 artists, designers, gallery owners, activists and arts programmers appointed by the City Council.
