DAVIS — Brad Evans scored a goal in the 89th minute to help the Anteaters pull out the nonconference tie Wednesday.

Anthony Hamilton scored off an assist from Evans 15 minutes earlier for UC Irvine (8-1-2), which trailed 2-0 at the half.

Orange Coast 17, Santa Ana 5

COSTA MESA — Casey Satchell led a balanced attack with four goals in the Pirates’ Orange Empire Conference victory over Santa Ana Wednesday.

Kevin Hardesty added 13 saves for Orange Coast (10-1, 3-0 in conference). Jared Yocam, Parker Gregory, Joe Krone, Drew Soria and Robby Houser each had two goals for the Pirates.

Loyola Marymount 7, UC Irvine 5

LOS ANGELES — Colin Mello added two more goals to his team-high total of 36 in the Anteaters’ 7-5 nonconference loss.

Junior Matt Garcia had seven saves for UC Irvine (4-8).

COSTA MESA — Ahley Maher’s five goals were not enough in the Pirates’ Orange Empire loss to Santa Ana Wednesday.

Marilyn Stowell made 27 saves for Orange Coast (5-11, 0-3 in conference).

COSTA MESA — Rachel Housepian and Heather Hutter each scored a goal in the Lions’ 2-0 Golden State Athletic Conference victory over Concordia Wednesday.

No. 25-ranked Vanguard (8-1-1, 2-1 in conference) received a save from Marissa Swift and an assist from Stephanie Steffes.

COSTA MESA — Jacqi Reed smashed a team-high 13 kills in the Pirates’ 30-11, 30-18, 30-15 Orange Empire Conference victory over Santa Ana Wednesday.

Kiwi Winkler added 10 kills and 12 digs for top-ranked Orange Coast (9-0, 2-0 in conference). Joanna Johnson had seven kills and Chelsea Spadara had 32 assists.
