PHOTO OF THE WEEK Big trouble

Photographer Kent Treptow’s shot of the cement truck lying on it’s side at the intersection of Newport Coast Drive and Pacific Coast Highway captures the size of the truck. The angle he took with the shoot brings the eyes into the frame and relays just how big the truck and accident are. The firefighter standing at the back of the truck is shorter than the truck, another tool the readers can use to judge the size of the truck.

Treptow chose a good angle to illustrate the accident and explain how big of a problem it was for motorists and clean-up crews.
