Police targeting ‘aggressive’ drivers
Laguna Beach police have determined that the city suffers from “a serious aggressive driving and traffic safety problem,” and police officials applied for and obtained a $112,980 grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety to beef up enforcement efforts.
Police Sgt. Jason Kravetz earned a pat on the back July 18 from the City Council for bumping up the grant from $84,000 to $112,980 after a personal visit to Sacramento.
“Anytime he wants to go to Sacramento, I will buy the ticket,” Councilwoman Jane Egly said.
