Costa Mesa’s Andrew Melcer and Will Lefebvre, along with Estancia’s Jacoby Lawrence, were second-team honorees.

The 6-foot-1 Bagwell also was a repeat Newport-Mesa Dream Team performer and a first-team All-CIF Southern Section Division III selection as a senior.

Bagwell, who was Costa Mesa’s top hitter and server ? he notched 12 aces in one early-season match ? led the team to its first league title and first CIF title-match appearance.

The Golden West League champion Mustangs fell to Santa Monica in four games in the CIF Division III final.

Smith was a clutch senior outside hitter, Krikorian was a stellar senior libero and Caldwell was the emotional leader for the Mustangs as an athletic, fiery senior middle blocker.

Both Lefebvre and Melcer were second-team All-CIF Division III selections.

Scott and Shaun Markley provided the Eagles with consistent outside hitting while the 6-6 Kopp was the team’s go-to guy at the net as a senior middle blocker. Kopp was a third-team All-CIF Division III pick.

The trio, along with first-team pick Lamb and second-team setter Lawrence, helped lead Estancia to second place in league and a first-round CIF Division III playoff victory.

Scott Markley was a third-team All-CIF Division III pick.

Costa Mesa’s Edward Miettinen received honorable mention.
