Prayer and health topic of lecture
Robert Gilbert of Upland will discuss the connection between prayer and health at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6 at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 635 High Drive.
The lecture, “How Christ Heals Resistant Problems,” is open to all.
Gilbert is a teacher and practitioner of Christian Science healing with many years’ experience helping others through prayer. He has a master’s degree in theology from Boston University where he majored in biblical studies.
As a U.S. Army chaplain, he served in Vietnam and in military prisons and hospitals. He has spoken nationally to a variety of audiences, including medical groups, on the practical, effective practice of prayer-based healing.
For children too young to attend the lecture, child care will be provided at the church off Coast Highway above Boat Canyon Shopping Center. No entrance fee will be charged nor collection taken.

Wedding dates open at church
