Gunman robs mail business
A man robbed a Costa Mesa mail center at gunpoint and escaped with an unknown amount of cash late Tuesday, police said.
The man walked into the AIM Mail Center at 2701 Harbor Blvd. at 4:45 p.m., pulled a handgun out of a bag and demanded that the clerk give him money from the cash register, police said.
The woman was told to lie face down on the floor and count to 200. By the time she got up, the man had left the store.
The robber was described as a Latino man, approximately 5 feet 8, and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt and a black hat.
