Red Bulls ride to Squirt title
Offense paves way in 11-5 win over Vipers.The Red Bulls had their offense in high gear and rode it to an 11-5 victory over the HB Vipers to win the Squirt Club Division championship game at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey in Huntington Beach.
Seven Bulls broke into the scoring column, with Bobby Sowma leading the way with three goals, and Brad Brandenburg and Taylor Song each scored twice.
Brandenburg and Taylor Baikie led the team with four assists each.
Timothy Francis had 15 saves.
Joshua Gane and Matthew Iacono each scored twice to lead the HB Vipers.
Austin Shannon scored once and had an assist, Trevor Evans had two solo and two shared assists and Nicole Scott and Zachary Beko each had an assist.
Joshua Yamaguchi had 25 saves.

Mite Club Division
Matrix 5, Rolling Thunder 4
Matthew Passaquindici and Sean Mastro each scored twice as the Matrix held off the Rolling Thunder.
Karley Wester also scored, and Mastro had two assists and Alex McCabe and Kevin Baumann one assist each. David Mastro had 20 saves.
Michael Thomas and Dylan Zeglovitch each scored twice and had an assist and Harry Ellis an assist to account for the Rolling Thunder’s offense.
Pee Wee Club Division
HB Vipers 5, Red Bulls 4
Ryan Daley scored the final two goals for the Vipers as they edged the Red Bulls.
Both of Daley’s goals came in the third period, where he also assisted a goal by Evan Sebastian.
Blake Cooper scored twice and Ryan Harrison had 22 saves.
Dario Torres and Joey Burkhardt scored goals for the Red Bulls.
Jr. High Division
Cubberley 6, Mariners 5
Blake Cooper scored the final four goals for Cubberley, including two in the decisive third period, to help defeat Marine View.
Darren Nowick scored the first two goals for Cubberley. Eric Saunders had an assist and Joshua Yamaguchi 21 saves.
Jeff Fuzzard topped the Mariners on offense with two goals. Tyler Bertrand scored once with an assist and Dylan Miller and Dane Miller each scored once.
