Softball team wraps up Monday League crown with 3-2 win.The City of Laguna Beach Community Services Dept. men’s summer 16-inch slow pitch softball season finally came to an end when Courtesy Auto Body won the Monday League championship.

Courtesy Auto Body earned the crown by sweeping through the Monday championship series, which it capped with a 3-2 win over the Puswatrkylegs. They got the win despite being out-hit, 11-4, and falling behind by a score of 2-0.

The Puswatrkylegs took a 2-0 lead in the top half of the first inning when Ryan Schissler reached base on a walk and John Reynard followed with a two-run home run.

That score stood until the bottom of the third, when Jeff Pich walked and Dave Meggison delivered a two-run home run to tie the score at 2-2.

An RBI by Bede Arabe that scored Chris Ornelas in the fourth inning provided the winning margin for Courtesy Auto Body. The victory capped an 11-1-1 summer league season for the team, whose only blemishes were a season-opening loss to Rotary and a regular season-ending tie with the Pancakes.
