A Noise Within launches its new season with Shakespeare’s

The Falcon Theatre opens its new season with “Barbra’s Wedding,”
by Daniel Stern, beginning preview performances at 8 p.m. tonight at

Crystal Bernard. An out-of-work television actor and his wife examine
their own marriage in the midst of the madness surrounding their
famous neighbor, Barbra Streisand’s, elaborate Malibu wedding ... an
event to which they are not invited. Previews continue through Sept.

“Oklahomo!” by Justin Tanner has been extended until Sept. 23 at

rehearses an unauthorized and very gay adaptation of the Rodgers and
Hammerstein classic (reset in a leather bar) with disastrous results.

The West Coast Premiere of “Power in the Blood” has been extended

Blanchette. The play examines the fundamental issues of hope, faith
and how humanity relates to the Devine. It previously won awards from
Dayton (Ohio) Playhouse FutureFest, a national competition for new
plays, and the New Times Best of Miami’s “Best Locally Written Play.”

Burbank. It’s a rock ‘n’ roll white trash fairy tale about that

“Tobacco Road,” a play by Jack Kirkland based on the book by
