Brian Allan exhibit reception Saturday
Laguna Beach artist Brian Allan will have his work on exhibit at
Spa Josephine with an artist reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The
exhibit will run through Sept. 30 with 25% of all sales donated to
the Laguna College of Art and Design Student Scholarship Fund.
Auction to support Sawdust benefit fund
The Sawdust Art Festival’s 19th annual Benevolence Fund Art
Auction will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. The purpose of the
Benevolence Fund is to help artists in Laguna Beach should they face
hardship. Any full time working Laguna Beach artist can apply. For

Blues Offenders
to play at festival
The Blues Offenders will perform from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the
Festival of Arts.Special events are scheduled throughout the summer.
Thursdays offer wine tasting and jazz, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sundays from
2 to 4 p.m. is the time for the Sunday Afternoon Blues Festival.
Laguna Culinary Arts also has cooking demonstrations from 1 to 2 p.m.
every Sunday.
The Festival of Arts offers a season pass for $7 for adults and $5
for seniors and students. Laguna Beach residents and children under

‘Unclothed’ at
the Sawdust
Olivia Batchelder, a 17-year-Sawdust Art Festival and volunteer
display coordinator has assembled a display of artwork on the theme
“The Unclothed Human Figure” in three glass display cases facing
Frontage Road, along the building facade of the Sawdust Art Festival.
The current exhibition is based on artwork featuring nudity, drawn
from the exhibitors in the 2005 art festival.
