WORLDWIDE MISSION MONTH

As part of its Worldwide Mission Month, First Presbyterian Church

of Garden Grove is hosting Rev. Don Oliver who will be preaching

about his recent trip to Limuru Presbytery, a partner in ministry

with Los Ranchos Presbytery at 9:30 a.m. July 31 at the Chaplain at

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach.

“GUESTS WELCOME” SHABBAT BARBECUE

A special “Guests Welcome” Shabbat barbecue dinner following the 6

p.m. service, for families interested in learning more about the

“FRIENDSHIP SUNDAY”

The Center for Spiritual Discovery in Costa Mesa invites everyone

to attend “Friendship Sunday,” a special celebration of friends and

family on the third Sunday of each month. Pastor Jim Turrell delivers

a timely message of love and peace. Lively music such as jazz, pop

and blues is always performed by professional musicians and singers.

Services start at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Toddler care is available

NOON TESTIMONY MEETINGS

Join members of the Second Church of Christ Scientist for their

monthly noon testimony meetings, held the first Wednesday of every

CAPPELLA CANTORUM

Cappella Cantorum, the young adult choir of St. John Vianney

Chapel, is beginning its fifth year. The choir is open to students in

grades six through 12. It provides active faith participation for

teens during their high school years. Participation includes singing

at mass regularly and at special events. Rehearsals are from 11 a.m.

to 1 p.m. Saturdays in the Chapel at 314 Marine Ave., Balboa Island.

MUSICAL FAMILY SHABBAT SERVICE

A special musical family Shabbat service will be held outdoors in

“DARROW”

Gary L. Anderson, one of the country’s foremost portrayers of

Clarence Darrow, will be bringing his Darrow portrayal to Orange

Members of the Bahai faith hold informal public discussions on
