* A mixture of concrete and water, spilled by accident from a truck,

left residents in the 31800 block of 9th Avenue with a dusty mess

over the weekend.

The truck accidentally dumped the mixture at 8 p.m. Friday, and

crews were not available to clean up the mess until Saturday morning,

said Director of Public Works Steve May.

The spill left behind dust and white powder, which crews cleaned

up Saturday.

* Portions of St. Ann’s Drive and Wilson Street will be closed for

several weeks while the city continues building a sidewalk.

* The following streets will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today

while the city completes street resurfacing: Alexander Road, Ashton

Drive and Rounsevel Terrace. Hinkle Place will remain open for one

lane of traffic.

For residents who need to park away from home during working

hours, the city will provide a free shuttle service to access

vehicles. For shuttle service, call (951) 453-7749 and leave a
