Group to focus on corporate charity

The Assn. for Corporate Growth Orange County chapter is hosting

“The Social and Business Aspect of Corporate Philanthropy” at the

Sutton Place Hotel in Newport Beach on Dec. 9.

The event is part of the association’s holiday celebrations.

Speakers at the event will talk about how corporate philanthropy goes

beyond financial contributions and involves charity. Speakers will

also talk about how partnerships with nonprofit organizations bring

corporate relationships and new business.

Program speakers include Althea Washington and Darval Bonelli,

Volunteer Center Orange County.

Informal networking will begin at 5 p.m. The program that includes

a question-and-answer session will begin at 6:20 p.m. and will go on

for an hour, followed by a final networking session.

be purchased at the door for $40. Parking is free after 6 p.m.

Triangle Square lounge to expand

The Sutra Lounge is expanding and has signed a lease to increase

the facility’s size in the Triangle Square Shopping Center on Harbor

Boulevard to accommodate the company’s accounting, event planning and

design studio.

The restaurant’s design is inspired by Moroccan stylings and has

expanded because of its popularity.
