The one-two punch of Colleen Burke and Kelly Hyder led Edison with
12 and 11 kills, respectively.

sweep of host Newport Harbor.

consolation round play of the prestigious South Coast Tournament, and
it was the Vikings who squeezed out a 6-5 win.

Esperanza, 11-9. The Chargers’ Travis Bee led all players with four
goals.
Edison also lost to Newport Harbor, 13-8, and Bee again scored
four goals.
In nonleague water polo, Huntington Beach outlasted visiting
Saddleback, 10-8. Andrew Kreitz scored four goals and Sean McLaughlin
scored three times to lead the Oilers.
In girls’ tennis, Huntington Beach scored a pair of impressive
nonleague victories.
The Oilers began their week with a 13-5 win over visiting Mission
Viejo.

of three.
Huntington followed that win with an 18-0 shutout of Cypress.
