Strimpel -- Bass

Amber Nicole Strimpel of Cleveland and Jonathan Odell Bass of

Costa Mesa exchanged wedding vows on June 26 at Christ the King

Catholic Church in Athens, Ohio.

The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Donna Strimpel of

Cleveland. The maid of honor was Stacie Steele, and the bridesmaids

included Rachel Strimpel, Jennifer Bass, Julianne Bass and Jessica

Bass.

The bridegroom is the son of Jeff and Jeanine Bass of Costa Mesa.

The best man was Trever O’Brien. The ushers were Matt Meredith,

Travis Whisler and Tom Bass.

The reception took place in the ballroom of Baker Center on the

Ohio University, Athens campus. The couple plans to live at the

Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station in South Carolina.

The bride finished her freshman year at Ohio University and will

attend the University of South Carolina, Beaufort. The groom is a

Marine lance corporal, specializing in aviation electronics.

Williams -- Waite

Chuck Waite and Nadine Van Riper of Newport Beach announce the

engagement of their son, Charlie Waite, of Newport Beach, to Kelly

Williams of Meridian, Miss.

The bride-elect, daughter of Gregg and Nita Williams of Meridian,

Miss., graduated from West Lauderdale High School and the University

of Mississippi in Oxford.

The future bridegroom graduated from Newport Harbor High School

and also graduated from the University of Mississippi.

An Aug. 14 wedding is planned at The Colonel’s Quarters in Oxford,

Miss.
