AQUATIC CAMPS COSTA MESA: Summer Water Polo...

AQUATIC CAMPS

COSTA MESA: Summer Water Polo Instructional Classes consist of

practice, conditioning and game techniques. Participants must pass a

50-yard freestyle swim and tread water for one minute to be eligible.

Ages invited are 8 to 14. Camps are Mondays and Wednesdays Aug. 16

through Aug. 26 from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost is $30. Information: (714)

BASEBALL CAMPS

NEWPORT BEACH: Skyhawks Baseball Camp is a program that focuses on

baseball fundamentals through drills and fun games in a relaxed

setting. Campers should bring a baseball glove, water, sunscreen,

lunch and a snack, and will receive a baseball and a T-shirt. Ages

invited are 5 to 12. The camp is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1

BASKETBALL CAMPS

NEWPORT BEACH: Skyhawks Basketball Camp provides a noncompetitive

environment for kids to learn the basic skills of the game.

Participants will learn techniques for passing, dribbling and

shooting. Campers should bring water, lunch and a snack, and will

receive a basketball and a T-shirt. Ages invited are 5 to 12. Camps

are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and begin Aug. 16. The

BEACH CAMPS

NEWPORT BEACH: BeachSports Summer Beach Camp includes instruction

in beach and ocean safety, boogie boarding, fitness, ecology and

beach games. Campers are encouraged to bring boogie boards, drinks

and snacks. Shade, water and sunscreen will be provided. Ages invited

are 5 to 13. Camps are Monday through Friday at either 9 a.m. to 2

p.m., 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 1 to 4 p.m. until Aug. 30. The cost is

CHEERLEADING CAMPS

NEWPORT BEACH: Cheerleading camp by All-American Cheer provides a

fun, action-packed environment to learn cheers, chants, motions and

jumps. Participants should bring water, a snack and a lunch, and will

receive a music compact disc upon completion. Ages invited are 4 to

12. Classes are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon (for the 4- to

8-year-olds) and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (for the 9- to 12-year-olds), and

begin Aug. 16. The cost is $120 (for 4- to 8-year-olds) or $165 (for

NEWPORT BEACH: Climbing Summer Camp is geared toward children

successfully mastering the necessary skills of rock climbing. ClimbX

COSTA MESA: Clay ‘n Paint Sculpture for Kids lets kids explore

their creative potential in this hands-on painting and sculpting

class. Students need to bring a shoebox and wear a smock or cover-up

to protect clothes. Ages invited are 4 to 12. The camps are Mondays,

3:30 to 4:30 p.m. from Monday through Aug. 23. The cost is $45 plus a
