The Ultimate Laff-Down comedy competition will be hosted by

Martini Blues. The show will begin at 8:30 p.m. at 5874 Edinger Ave.

Adventure Playground, a playing experience for children, will be

open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the Central

Park, 7111 Talbert Ave. Children can raft on a small pond, navigate a

rope bridge, use a cable slide, go down a mud slide and build forts.

Children must wear tennis shoes and be prepared to get dirty. This

experience is suitable for kids 6 to 12 years old. Adult supervision

will be provided and tickets are $2 to $3. Enter from the Central

“The Pirates of Penzance,” a musical by Gilbert and , will be

performed by the Huntington Beach Playhouse at Central Library

The Pier Plaza Art A-Faire,

held at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier,

will feature more than 50 vendors selling unique, handmade gifts and
