Wings take shootout from Dyno-mites

Ryan Kawahara scored unassisted in overtime and the Wings survived a

shootout session with the Dyno-mites in scoring a 2-1 victory in a

Campbell Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

The Dyno-mites had taken a 1-0 lead through two periods of play

when Travis Hunter scored off a Travis Williams feed.

The Wings drew even in the third period when Niley Smith scored

off a Hayden Rahman assist.

The Wings’ Emmett Jaeger and the Dyno-mites’ Madison Clark each

had 16 saves.

In other Campbell Division games:

Red Rhinos 1, Dragons 0

Joshua Gruwell’s first-period goal, set up by a Matthew Gane feed,

stood up as the Red Rhinos shut down the Dragons.

Sam Prizler didn’t allow a goal while recording 11 saves.

Tori Gianformaggio’s big game in net included 16 saves for the Dragons.

Hot Shots 5, Bruins 4

Jared Mohl led all scorers with four goals as the Hot Shots edged

the Bruins.

Matthew Boyer had the other Hot Shots goal.

Jennifer Boyer, Kian Nafison, Jaclyn Newman and Alyson Luman each

had an assist for the Hot Shots, and Jack Lowary finished with 25

saves.

The Bruins’ scoring consisted of goals by Amanda Morales, Cameron

Platzman, Lucas Varela and Philip Pascarelli.

Varela and Pascarelli each had an assist and Kevin Romano had 14

saves.

Mighty Ducks 11, Mad Dogs 1

Three Mighty Ducks scored multiple goals in the one-sided victory.

Alex Kao and Paul Studer led the scoring barrage with four goals

each.

Trevor Scott scored twice and Michael Kramer scored once.

Austin Bullo led the team in assists with two and Kao, Kramer and

Studer each had one assist.

Chas Scott recorded eight saves.

Jacob Pope scored off a Jack Koulos assist and Sean McDaniel had

13 saves for the Mad Dogs.
