Local flavor strong in tonight’s all-star matches
Three Estancia High boys volleyball players were selected to the
north team while three Newport Harbor seniors were chosen for the
girls south team for tonight’s 27th annual Dave Mohs Memorial Orange
County north/south senior all-star volleyball matches.
Estancia outside hitters Kris Hartwell and Josh Kornegay, along
with teammate and middle blocker Scott Sankey, will join setter Adam
Schlesinger and outside hitter Morgan Govaars, both from Newport
Harbor, on the north squad that will battle the south at 7:30 p.m. at
Edison High.
Estancia Coach Tracey Ingraham will lead the north team along with
Fountain Valley Coach Todd Hanson.
The girls match begins at 6 p.m.
Newport Harbor seniors Alyson Jennings, Kellie King and Lauren
Miller were all selected to the girls south team.
Coaches and the media selected the teams.
Sage Hill outside hitter Kevin Joyce was selected to the boys
north team, but will attend graduation ceremonies.
Matches will be the best-of-three games. Admission is $5.
