The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The
selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot entree.
School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable lunch salad or bean and cheese burrito baby carrots with
ranch dip, applesauce, pudding cup and choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
Munchable lunch salad or Galaxy cheese pizza, crisp green salad
with ranch, diced pears and choice of milk.
THURSDAY
Vegetarian health sandwich or Chik’n Giggle sandwich on a bun
(chicken patty), zucchini sticks with ranch dip, diced pears and
choice of milk.
FRIDAY
Munchable lunch salad or mozzarella cheese dippers with marinara
sauce, baby carrots with ranch dip applesauce, graham crackers and
choice of milk.
MONDAY
Spring break, April 5 to 9.
The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts.
(*peanut butter on selected days)
Papa John’s Pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit
and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.
MONDAY
College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser, Newport Elementary.
TUESDAY
Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.
WEDNESDAY
Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.
THURSDAY
Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.
FRIDAY
Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
