Private First-Class Young J. Tae of the Army National Guard has

graduated from basic combat military training at Fort Sill in Lawton,

Okla. Tae was instructed in subjects including fitness, marksmanship

and first aid. He received special instruction in human relations.

Navy Hospitalman Apprentice Sheryl A. Gimenez graduated from the

Basic Hospital Corps School at Naval Hospital Corps School in Great

Lakes, Ill. Gimenez learned a wide range of medical procedures used

to provide first aid and assist Navy doctors and nurses. Gimenez is a

2001 graduate of Marina High School in Huntington Beach, and joined

the Navy in June 2003. Her parents are Lisa K. Taylor of Riverside

and Ron G. Gimenez of Huntington Beach ... Melody Glenn, a student at

Blackburn College in Carlinville, Ill., was named to the Dean’s List

in recognition of her 3.8 grade-point average in the fall 2003

semester. She is the daughter of Huntington Beach residents Kurt and

Debbie Glenn.
