Chance to support a great cause
JAMES PRIBRAM
Ah yes, I’m back again. It’s been a few weeks and things are good. I
love this time of the year and sharing it with family and friends.
But I must change gears for a moment before I forget -- my
memory’s going as I get older but I do remember this: My girlfriend’s
idea of multi-tasking is talking on her cell phone and window
shopping while she drives. Funny, but I will not go there. I shall
not be judgmental.
All right now that we got that out of the way ...
What’s going on in this great town of ours? This week my thumbs up
award goes to Halea Risdana as she gets ready to ride her bike 585
miles from San Francisco all the way to L.A. to raise money and
awareness for people living with HIV or AIDS.
Halea needs our help. Halea has to raise at least $2,500 by May 14
to participate. Lets help her in this great cause. You can contribute
to her ride via cash, check, money order or credit card online at
www.aidslifecycle.org remember to click donation and type in her name
and participant number: (Halea Risdana No. 6132). Checks are made
payable to: AIDSlifecycle (write cyclist No. 6132 and Halea Risdana
on the memo line). Good luck Halea!
In other news Paul and Missy Durant have opened a new store called
So. Cal Surf and Sport just down the street in the Monarch Beach
shopping plaza. It specializes in surf, skate and snow products. Pop
in and tell ‘em Jamo sent you for your 10% discount.
This week my thumbs down award goes to the supermarket strike.
Work it out. I miss shopping at my local store.
Till next time, I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe
Thanksgiving!
Peace.
